Flat Whites & Insights

S3 E9 | George Lunn: An insight into Burnout, Risk & Reward and Lotus Cafe.

Hans Cook - Cap'N'Chino Season 3 Episode 9

In this episode of Flat Whites & Insights, Hans is joined by George, who recently took on The Lotus Cafe in Faringdon alongside his partner Rebecca, having decided to leave a career as a professional chef due to burnout.

The Lotus Cafe opened in September 2024 and although it was a risk for George and his family to leave a career to start the cafe, this conversation delves into the reward that comes from risk taking, and values by which to live by as well as a shared lived experience of burnout.

The Cafe is already becoming a warm welcoming space for the Faringdon Community, and in fact they recently offered Cap'N'Chino Self Care Blend as a Guest Espresso, supporting mental health awareness in the process.

So grab a coffee for yourself and take some time to enjoy this latest conversation.
